Ya’ll are probably tired of hearing quartz - but here we go again! Citrine is a variety of quartz. Honestly though, Quartz and it’s prevalence teaches us so much through it color variation. You’ll continue to hear more about it. So, to mix it up, here’s a fancy science term for you: colloidal. This basically means “microscopic”. In Citrine’s case, it’s yellow color comes from colloidal iron inclusion. Pretty neat, huh?
